Classes I to X :
SMAPS offers innovative, activity based teaching. Activities beyond classrooms allow the strengthening of basic concepts, building team spirit and instilling confidence in children. The child centric teaching methodology has been implemented which aims at thorough understanding.
CLasses XI - XII :
On the restoration of Board Examination for class X there is revised assessment structure and examination for class X from Academic Year 2017-2018 onwards. This new scheme will bring uniformity in the system of assessment and examination for classes I - X in all the CBSE affiliated schools.

SCHOLASTIC AREAS - The assessment structure and examination for classes I to X have been prepared in view of the provisions of RTE Act 2009 and comprises of two terms i.e. Term I and II as explained below:
SUBJECT ENRICHMENT ACTIVITIES - These are subject specific activities aimed at enhancing the understanding and skills of the students. These activities are to be carried out throughout the term, however, they should be evaluated at term-end.
GRADING SCALE FOR SCHOLASTIC AREAS (CLASSES I TO X)

Assessment of Co Scholastic areas (classes I to X): For the holistic development of the student, co curricular activities in the following areas will be carried out in CBSE affiliated schools by the teachers and will be graded term-wise on a 3 point grading scale (A = OUTSTANDING, B = VERY GOOD, AND C = FAIR). The aspect of regularity, sincere participation , output and teamwork will be the generic criteria for grading in the following co-scholastic activities:
( A ) Work education: Work Education refers to skill based activities resulting in goods or services useful to the community
( B) Art Education: Visual and Performing art
( C) Health and Physical education : Sports/Yoga
DISCIPLINE ( Classes VI to VIII) : The students will also be assessed for the discipline which will be based on the factors like attendance, sincerity, behavior, values, tidiness, respectfulness for rules and regulations, attitude towards society, nation and others. Grading on discipline will be done term wise on a 3 point grading scale (A= OUTSTANDING, B= VERY GOOD, C= FAIR)

I TERM: APRIL â€“ SEP
II TERM: OCT â€“ MARCH
In each term the students of class XI are assessed on the basis of Revision Test for each subject followed by Terminal Examinations. In order to pass, a student must secure 33% marks in each of the subjects studied by him/her separately in both theory and practical portion. Student failing in more than two is not eligible for compartment and will be required to repeat the same class in the next academic year.
| Students of class XII appear for BOARD EXAMINATION conducted by CBSE in the month of March.
However, they also appear for a round of revision tests and Terminal Exams in addition to PREBOARD EXAMS conducted by the school.
